2024 CLAY FESTIVAL MARKET INFORMATION AND CONTRACT

The CLAY Market is an integral part of the annual CLAY Festival in Silver City, NM, allowing local and out-of-area artists to display and sell their clay-centric wares. Space is limited to eighteen 10’x10’ booths, which can be shared.

LOCATION: This year’s CLAY Market will be held in the ballroom of the historic, downtown Murray Hotel

The ballroom offers space for eighteen 10’x10’ booths. The hotel is offering a 20% discount on rooms for those who book directly through the hotel and mention “CLAY Festival/Market”. MARKET DATES/HOURS:

Saturday, July 27th …..10am-4pm

Sunday, July 28th ……..10am-2pm

SET UP/TEAR DOWN:

Vendors will have early access for set up Friday afternoon, 7/26, UNLESS the hotel rents the ballroom to another group for that day.

Saturday, 7/27, set up can begin at 8am. Booths should be ready for sales by 10am. Booths will remain open until 4pm.

Tear down on Sunday, 7/28, will begin at 2pm.

ACCEPTED VENDOR REQUIREMENTS:

A 2 day commitment is required for this market.

Provide your own booth equipment to create an attractive, stable display. The hotel will provide 2 chairs and one 6’ table per booth, if needed. Some artists have found it helpful to have supplemental lighting in the ballroom (e.g. clamp-on lamps, floor lamp, etc.).

Display your original, quality, clay-centric work.

Provide bookkeeping procedures (e.g.handling of sales tax, credit card transactions, etc.).

Provide extension cord, if needed.

Please consider emailing 2-3 images of your work (jpeg format, 300 dpi, approximately 4”x5”) that could be used in creating promotional material.

CONTRACT PROCEDURE:

Please fill out the following CLAY Market APPLICATION FORM

If you’ll be sharing a booth, fill out only one contract with both names.

$50 vendor fee covers both days. The fee covers booth rental, promotion of the market and live music at the venue. Please pay the fee by check, made out to Susan Mach with “CLAY Market” written in the memo.

Booths will be allocated once the contract and the fee have been received. No refunds will be given UNLESS a replacement vendor can be confirmed.

If your contract and fee are received AFTER all booth space is filled, you will receive a refund and can be placed on a wait list.
