CLAY Festival 2018 is honored to have nationally recognized ceramicist Julia Galloway serve as juror for this year’s juried exhibition “Only A Vessel.”
Galloway is a utilitarian potter and Professor of Art at the University of Montana. She has exhibited widely across the United States, Canada, and Asia, and her work is in major museum and private collections. Her work has been published in Ceramics Monthly, Studio Potter, Art and Perception, and Clay Time as well as in 15 books. Galloway has served on the boards of Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, the Archie Bray Foundation for the Ceramic Arts, the National Council of the Ceramic Arts as well as Critical Ceramics. She has developed several service-based websites, including Montana Clay, The Field Guide for Ceramics Artisans, and The Library of Cups. Find out more about this artist at juliagalloway.com.
